As we approach Thanksgiving and the winter holiday season, we are kicking the giving spirit into high gear with our Fall Giving Challenge! This year, Swinerton employees are engaging in a little friendly competition to see which office can collect the most points—earned through fundraising, donation of goods, and volunteer hours. The top three teams will choose a charitable organization to receive a check from The Swinerton Foundation.

It’s been a treat to see the creative ways offices are stepping up their generous game. Members of Swinerton’s leadership bravely took a pie in the face at San Francisco’s Harvest Fair Fundraiser, while the Silicon Valley team is preparing care packages to send to troops overseas. The San Diego group decided to replace client holiday gifts with donations to The Swinerton Foundation, and the Hawaii team has contributed more than 200 volunteer hours to Habitat for Humanity and other community-based nonprofits. Our team in Concord collected donations for the Food Bank of Contra Costa & Solano County. The Fall Giving Challenge runs through November 29, so there’s sure to be more creative giving in the works!
